For Christmas dinner my sister-in-law is making lobster. My job has become to come up with and prepare a side dish that goes with it.
So what could/should it be? I'm sorta thinking I should make a lemony spinach salad or something like that, but that seems sorta boring. Maybe if I did that along with something that takes a bit more preparation and actual cooking that'd work. A potato dish could also work, like where make a little plate out of them and fill them with stuff. That could be good if I find the right things too put in them. I don't want to get too heavy or just go with the usual cheese and bacon approach.
Anyone have any ideas?

Pasta?

Citrus-y, butter-y or garlic-y dishes are probably your best bet. You'll also probably want to make something with a lot of light oils in it. Maybe look up some Mediterranean dishes.

Yeah, Citrus-y, buttery, and garlic-y dishes are probably best.
Cheddar cheese biscuts also go good with lobster. Or with anything for that matter.

Yeah. I guess the lemonish salad is a good start.
I'm thinking I'm gonna do that, but then also some sort of large well buttered and seasoned red onions (roasted). That should work.
Thanks all.

Rice-A-Roni?
Well, it is the San Francisco treat and me being the Northern California person it could be appropriate.
