Um, so is it a huge bitch to replace a blown head gasket?
I've got an oil leak. There's oil on the outside of my engine and oil in a couple spark plug cylinders. Personally, I'm hoping it's a worn rocker head/valve head gasket, because that's cheap and easy. I do imagine, however, that it could be a blown head gasket and I don't know how cheap or easy that is. Does anyone know?

Easy as in doing it yourself? I wouldn't even try without good skills and tools. It will cost you some money, but nothing like replacing the engine, or car. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I know almost nothing about cars except how to drive them.

That is wise. Chances are what I'll do is replace the valve head cover, clean the engine, and watch for signs of oil still leaking.
If that doesn't work out I'll know it's coming through the spark plug chamber or it's a blown head gasket and I'll take it to a mechanic and hope I don't get raped.

Say, has that stroke arrived yet or is it still on the way?
