Stupid question, but hey it's convo!
I have the knight rider theme. But I'm getting really sick of it.
-
Rolling Stones - "Gimme Shelter"
It's the song they play a bunch in The Departed.
-
Mine's a Mario theme.
-
I dont have a cell phone.

This. (http://www.natchdan.com/filedump/mi2.mid)

I hate cellphones, and I hate ringtones even more than I hate cellphones. When I *did* have a cell, my ring was just a fucking ring, the way it ought to be.
-
I almost never hear mine. Mine vibrates twice before ringing.
-
Mine WAS just a ring, until Monkey Island came along.
-
I lack the cellphone, but if I did have one it would never ring, only vibrate. Even though there are several themes I love, I'd hate to mix them with a cellphone.
-
Crazy to think that people don't have cellphones. I don't know what I would do without my phone.
Anyway, I have Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone", but I never actually use my ringtone. My phone is ALWAYS on vibrate.

Not feel the need to talk to people for extended periods of time?

I'm married to my phone. I do everything on it now. Driving directions, looking up a nearby place to eat, text messaging, Google Talk, general web browsing, talking... I also use it a bit like a PDA. I record appointments, contact information (too bad there isn't any good way to import or export this), and tasks like homework due.

My mom got me a cheap prepaid cell for my birthday a couple of months ago, I rarely ever use it, but when it does ring it's Castlevania's "Vampire Killer".
-
Alternates between a Ryan Adams song and Mr. T saying "I pity the fool who don't answer their phone"

It's sad to think that little more than five years ago people knew how to walk down the street without having to talk to another person about nothing on a cell phone or how to meet up with people by simply being at a pre-decided place ON TIME.
-
my ringtone is called, "squirrels fucking". it's the most obnoxious thing i could find.

if you're out on the town, it's damn near fucking impossible to get everyone together at once. with a mobile you can go from pub to pub, to random group of friends to random group of friends, without going "oh noes, can't leave yet - have to wait for *whoever*".

Ah, I loved out little adventure trying to call Pyro/sy at OWMeet. Que and I didn't have phones, Keebs did. Luckily Que had the number, Pyro didn't even have his phone on. A bunch of tech geeks and we cant even make a phone call.

I have no idea, my phone is always on vibrate. That's the first thing I did when I got my phone- turn the ring off. Is there anything more obnoxious than an annoying ringtone?
-
Cells certainly have their place. I used to store a lot of numbers for regular game suppliers that I'd check when I was looking for something hard to find. Just call them in order of proximity to my location. And it was cool for when I was out, trying to get ahold of somebody to do something, whatever... but what Sy said is the truth. People don't know how to shut the fuck up. People are crippled because of their absolute requirement for constant social contact. It's very, very sad.

I generally like the basic ring.. Monkey Island is appealing, but I like my ring ring.
I like my cell phone, it's a portable address book that's also a phone! That's the only feature I really care about in a mobile phone; a damn good address book. I don't really care about camera or any multimedia features.. I appreciate it them, but I never use them.
-
Mine change often.
My favorite is "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".
-
If ever heard your phone play that, I would murder you. With fire. Damn I hate that song.

Haha what about "I like to move it, move it!" :P

Hahah. I actually just use my phone for quick conversations.
But like Beo said, when a group of us goes out somewhere, we all inevitably get separated/lost/confused/etc and it is necessary to get in touch with people.

After years of ignoring them, I finally have a cell phone. Got it late last year. I'm using the "salsa" ringtone it came with. Verizon wants money for custom ringtones, and makes it difficult for you to use your own. If I cared, I'd figure it out (like I figured out how to put my own MP3s and videos into it, also against Verizon's wishes). But I don't. Que has a point too. There are regular rings available in this thing, and I should switch to one. It's got to be less annoying for people around me to hear a phone ring than a tinny loud tune. Phones ring all the time and can be ignored as easily as car horns in the distance.

It's a little dated, but Seinfeld speaks for me (http://www.theflyingmonkeyapparatus.com/phones.mp3).
"We all have absolutely nothing to say and we've got to talk to someone about it right now."
