Just got Dark Side of the Moon on vinyl.  Currently listening on my cabinet record player/radio that i purchased for 5$ at a garage sale.

It's awesome.

EEEEK!!  DSotM vinyl LP on a grind-o-matic?!  NOOOO!!

Seriously, bad playback equipment can ruin a record in just a few plays.  I still have my Thorens turntable somewhere in storage.  1-gram tracking force, strictly through counterweight (no springs).  That's the only way to properly care for analog records.  I know it's harder to find the right equipment now, though.

I still have my vinyl copy of this record as well, again somewhere in storage.  All the upheavals I've gone through over the past several years have left me unsure of where anything ended up exactly.

Vinyl is interesting, but just too much effort for my lifestyle.  I'll own some for collector's value, but never to listen to.  I don't have space for a proper turntable, let alone the time to truly care for the stuff properly.  A shame, too, because there's a decidedly different and interesting sound that you get with a real record.  I miss having friends that really knew about that stuff, because I was never able to process it all and remember it right.

Dude, you know it's like 2007 right?  HAHAHAHA.

But seriously, I know where you're coming from.  I just took the efi system out of my car and put a carb in there.  Filled it up with some premium leaded.  I think it sounds and runs much better.
