Title: eBay strike... woah...
Post by: Pugnate on Monday, February 25, 2008, 09:54:55 AM
One of the few occasions I can say I am proud of something done by people, in terms of making an effort to fight back. Remember all that shit eBay tried to pull? A sudden increase in final value fees rendered $10 sales useless, and removing feedback privileges from sellers?

Online auction listings down 13% in boycott of eBay. (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/techinvestor/corporatenews/2008-02-24-ebay-strike_N.htm=)

So looks like people got off their asses and actually tried to do something.

I'll be interested to see if it lasts.  If sellers migrate to other auction sites, they may never come back.

I'm going to check out Amazon.  Amazon claims that used iRiver SlimX iMP-350's sell for an average of $92.00.  I thought that was crazy high considering the age of the device, that several new SlimX models debuted after it, and it was $150.00 new.
