I wake up this morning and my mom tells me about some thing Oprah was doing, had some free christmas music to download and that it would be *HINT HINT* a nice gift for her. So whatever I go to download the tracks. They are only available for 48 hours so I just grab em right away.
I come back to my PC an hour or two later and give em a spin. Half are nice, the other half are shit. Not musically, but compressed to hell. 96kbps MP3s? Seriously? Yes, seriously. So now I've only got 4 tracks for a CD that I'd burn...no way. Off to find more.
So I came across this site (http://feelslikechristmas.com/) and they have nearly 90 total tracks. So far they are all compressed well. 128kbps for some, which is still usable. Especially for Christmas tracks you'll probably just have on in the background once a year. Quite a lot to check out, so if you want some holiday tunes there you go. I'm going to grab as many as I can and pick and choose some for the CD for mom. Thats much better than some shit from Oprah.

Oprah is Satan.
Anyway, pretty cool site. That's a whole lot of music. Cool that they divide it into different sections based on performance type.

Thanks! I downloaded the whole traditional instrumental roster, and I'll give traditional vocals a chance next. So far so good. Are the "contemporary" compositions any good?
