Title: Newegg just shipped me a harddrive in less than fourteen hours
Post by: WindAndConfusion on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, 10:21:51 AM
I ordered it last night at about 6:30 and it was on my doorstep before I left at 8. And that was the cheapest shipping option.

We regularly get stuff we order here inside of 2 days, without any expensive shipping options.  It looks like some improvement in handling efficiency across the board to me.

I've had lots of shipments that fast from Newegg, with the cheapest shipping option. That was in Phoenix though. Now that I'm in BFE and more than an hour from the closest city of any kind of reasonable size, it takes forever for stuff to get here.

I've had fast shipments, and slow ones.  I actually have a bad review of Newegg on resellerratings.com from a time when they sat on my order for three full days before shipping it.

Typically I always pick the slowest shipping option for anything.  I usually get stuff in three days or less.  The exception is USPS Media Mail.

The local post office here actually loses mail on a regular basis. I wish I could get letters and such through UPS or something, because they're actually reliable.
