Another topic inspired by my move.
A few minutes ago I was putting away much of my collection of random magazines and wondered if I should just throw a bunch of them out. A good chunk of them are Gamepro's that were sent to me for free for a few years. Although Gamepro is crap and I probably won't look at them again, I just couldn't bear the though of actually recycling them or going through them and finding the one's I wouldn't mind keeping. Then I thought about just throwing away ones older than a certain date, but I couldn't do that either.
So, I'm just curious, how long do you all generally keep magazines around?

I still have a bunch of old issues of PSM laying around in a box along with other gaming magazines. I tried to give them to a used book store in Phoenix but they didn't want them even though they were in good condition.
-
I tend to keep old magazines around for quite a while. When I moved last however, I decided to chuck all of them. Basically I decided that they were heavy and I'll never look at them again so why bother lugging them to a new place?
-
Heh, I still have N64 Nintendo Power's lying around somewhere.
Beyond that though, I don't have any other magazines. I don't read 'em.

Generally if theres an article I want to keep, I put the mag in a nice place (PG Gamer had a nice article on making levels and general level design that I kept). Otherwise the mags go on a pile and when I'm tired of knocking the pile over, I throw them all away.
Except porn mags, those go into the hollowed out mountain, humidity and temperature controlled vault.

i still have a bit from about 10 years ago.. haha

I have some seriously old gaming mags sitting in mom's garage. Quite a hell of a lot, too. I can't bring myself to throw them away because it's really amazing to be able to go back and check out where gaming was five, ten years ago. I still do it from time to time just to relive the past. It's pretty awesome.

I can't bring myself to throw any... any.
-
Supposedly it pays off. I still have some old original hardbound versions of nancy drew books - they were my moms when she was a kid. And supposedly, they're worth lotsa $$$
-
I don't generally keep them. Unless it's a Stuff or Maxim with some girl I'm particularly fond of.
-
Considering I found an issue of PC World from 1993 in my bookshelf last month... quite a while.
-
That would actually be kind of cool to look at. Wasn't 1993 about when DOOM came out? I can't remember exactly.
-
I keep old Time magazine's just because of research purposes. I haven't actually used them yet, though, so it's probably useless to keep them all.
-
I still have my first pr0n mag.
*hides*

Some of my mags range back to my Nintendo Power days.
-
I kept every magazine I got until last week when I cleaned them all out. I had stuff dating back to 1990.
Looking back, I wished I would have kept some of them. DAMN IT. especially the PC Gamer with the review of Fallout...
-
Heh. I've managed to find a few from when I was younger that I must have separated out and brought up at some point. There's one PC Gamer with a top 100 that came out not long after Warcraft II. That's pretty sweet.
Down south at my parent's place we still have almost all the Nintendo Power magazine up and including some of the N64 years, including the mini-mags they put out before it became the proper Nintendo Power called (I think) the Nintendo Fan Club. The first one had stuff on Zelda II or something like that.
