Mr. Robot
« on: Sunday, December 24, 2006, 08:21:56 PM »
From Moonpod (makers of Starscape)

Its out now, they have a demo to download and try, which I did. Its a pretty cool little game with art to die for. It makes you want to hug everything.

Fucking hell, you haven't played Starscape?  Dude, try it.  Moonpod is awesome.  I interviewed Mark Featherstone for AOG quite some time ago.  Wish that was still around.  Anyway, Starscape is really an amazing game and you owe it to yourself to try it out.  Seriously.

And Mr. Robot is released!  I am juiced.  I haven't actually even played the demo, so I am doing that right this very second.

Oh yeah. I remember Idol tell us about this guy a while back. I'm glad too see it's out.

Now if I can just get it to work on my parent's computer...

I must have this.  Gonna' buy it tonight.

Anyone else notice that the bad robots look kind of like the good little guys (V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and B.O.B.) from The Black Hole?  I also noticed that one of the big red evil things in the little video on the website looks like Maximillian.  Or am I the only person who even remembers that movie?

I really enjoy these guys.  I've played some of the other games they were responsible for (Gun Metal, for instance, which I also reviewed at AOG... I think.  I was going to if I didn't actually), but I think their current group is just perfection.  They make so much good stuff.

Again, to those who haven't already, DOWNLOAD STARSCAPE!

Don't worry Que. I remember and love that movie. One of the good Disney outings along with the Black Cauldron.

The movie is generally considered to be truly awful, but I honestly can't remember.  I just remember loving the robot designs.  And I'm pretty sure I'm right about the Maximilian dude.  You can see it on the cover of the DVD on the ad on their site (the DVD case is behind the main character in the ad).  It's still hard to see, but it looks about right to me.
