It looks nice and all, but . . . you need a Wii for that?  How about a DS version?

I am still really on the fence about the Wii.  It's an awesome system and all, but I don't know if I can justify spending $300 for it when it's library hasn't really expanded much yet.  I think I might wait a while before I get a Wii.

I never understood why gamespot thinks "scottwsx96" is my e-mail address.  That's the only way it will let me log in, without the "@gmail.com."

Hot damn that looks amazing.  How are the rest of you not excited about this?  Seriously.  At the end of that trailer I was salivating!

And I'm really fucking sad now.  Because I just plain can't afford a Wii, and Julia really dug Paper Mario 2 on GC, so it sucks that she can't play the next one.  Unfortunately, the other reason we can't really justify getting a Wii is because Julia can't really use it.  She's played it briefly at Sy's and it hurts her too much to use for very long periods of time.  I don't know that it would ever work out.  She starts to hurt after a couple hours of using a *normal* controller, so... yeah.

I've been thinking lately about that very thing.  I took a nasty spill on some glare ice out front about 2 weeks ago, and I hurt my left elbow.  (I still don't know how, because I didn't smack the elbow itself.  Maybe it's hyper-extension?  My upper arm seems to have hit the sidewalk, about 2 inches above the elbow.)  I've gotten full range of motion back, but it still hurts like a bitch to do some things, like right turns in a car.  Once my left hand gets to about the 2 o'clock position on the wheel, I could cry out like a little girl.  It's the twist combined with the force of pushing the wheel clockwise,  Anyway, I can play games just fine on the 360 and the PC.  But having to flail around in a Wii game is probably out of the question.  If the injury had happened to the other arm, I know it would be out of the question.  I've been wondering how handicapped or even arthritic people would feel about the Wii.  I guess they're not in the demographic.

I can't be 100% sure because all Julia's really tried is Warioware, and that isn't really *meant* to be played for long periods of time.  But she insists it would be too much for her.  I really don't know if that's true or not, but I suspect it might be.  I don't notice *too* much fatigue, but there's definitely more than your average controller.

Yeah, finally got around to watching the trailer and it looks pretty freaking awesome.  Kind of sparse in that it is set in the emptiness of space, but I'm super-glad not to see any stupid widget like that water pack in Sunshine.

I was a lot more pumped before I saw that trailer.  Personally I'd like some bigger worlds/levels rather than a series of tiny planets.

Yeah.  Like I said, how about putting this on a DS?  Looks like the perfect platform for it.

Maybe the trailer doesn't do the world's heft justice?

Hard to say at this point.  It looked like there were some really small things and then some bigger planets that you could wander around on like a "level".  Personally, I think it's fantastic looking.  I have zero complaints.
