Topic: I just fixed my iPod.. the old fashioned way

Well, my iPod 30gb Photo broke a few weeks ago.  I've been trying to reset it and do everything possible.  I basically diagnosed it as a hardware problem.  I went and bought a new 30gb video for 250$.  Instead of opening it, though, I thought I would just do whatever to try and make the old one work.  Nothing to lose.

I ended up just throwing it against the ground fairly hard.  It bounced a couple of times.  I tried to start it up again, and it was doing teh same thing.  I did this 4 times, and on the fourth time, it started working again!

It's been working for a few days now.  It seems to be fixed!  I am guessing some cable got knocked loose, but it seems to be back in place.  Yay for just saving 250$ for a few more months.

My brother has an old G2 iPod, and it works fine except the screen broke.  He bought a new one (G4, I think).

Jennie said some guy at work has an iPod where he broke the screen and ended up replacing it himself.  It's like a $30 fix.  I have thought about doing it and selling the thing on eBay.  Not sure how much a G2 iPod would fetch though.

iPods are such flimsy pieces of overpriced shit, we get people bringing them back at my work constantly.  The company even went as far as changing the return policy on mp3 players from 90 days to 15 days, after that they have to deal with Apple.
