First Earthquake since I've been up here in the Bay Area.

Didn't feel huge, but lasted a good 10-20 seconds (not sure on length because it woke me up). Everything seems alright... guess I should shut everything down just in case we have another.

You felt it too, eh?  Julia slept right through it, and it woke me out of a lovely dream where I was playing life-sized board games for candy (wtf?).  I only felt maybe 2 seconds of it, and wasn't even sure I'd really felt it I was so groggy.  Was the third or fourth time that night I'd woken up for various reasons.  Checked the computer and the automated thingy here reported a small quake.  I believe it said 4.4.

But there've been a number of other quakes since you've been here.  You just haven't felt them, apparently.

Well, first semi-feelable one that I remember.

From the news, I was more or less right on top of the thing. It was small all things considered, so proximity was basically the main thing.

Yeah, the area map showed it pretty squarely in your neighborhood.  The extent of the damage here is that one of my Dawn of War boxes tilted to the side.  Near as I can tell, that's it.

A few of my more precarious toys fell over, but that was the worst of it. None of them were Warhammer guys and nothing broke, so we came out pretty clean.

I was hoping to see a picture of a monkey farting while dressed as the pope. I am disappointed.

You know, while I was out there I secretly hoped there would have been at least a small earthquake, just to see what they were like.
