It's been a bad week
« on: Monday, August 20, 2007, 03:25:11 PM »
So first I found out I can't get into the program I want at school because of overflow from the last semester.  Not a huge issue, I'm still finishing my first degree and still have tho option of going part time and bypassing a lot of the electives.  Still, kind of shitty because I wanted to be pretty much done by next year...which is now totally impossible.  Not a huge deal but kind of a bitch.

Then, my sister tells me she's a lesbian.  Like I said, I"m actually kind of pumped about it now, but it was certainly a shock.

On Friday I found out I'm pretty much homeless in about 2 weeks.  We can't get a hold of our landlord to extend our lease and both of my contingency plans fell through.

Then, my house got fucking robbed last night.  By, like the most incompetent robbers ever.  Stolen:  DVDs, Xbox games, Plasma TV.  Why were they so incompetent?  Because with all the time they spent ejecting Burnout 3 from the Xbox (and leaving it) and looking for the remote to the TV, they seemingly passed up the chance to steal tens of thousands of dollars worth of amps, mixing equipment, and guitars.

Why would you be pumped about your sister's sexual orientation?  I could understand neutrality.

Sucks about the thieves.  Think it's somebody you know?  If somebody robbed me, I think I would kill myself.  You'd think I'd have some kind of insurance or something with the amount of shit I've stockpiled in my life.

Things will pick up next week. Whenever I am at the end of a bad week I am usually optimistic that the worst is over.

Did you contact the police?

Because that means she's not having sex with dirty, creepy, guys.

Yeah we think it's someone we know or dumb kids.  They left a lot of valuable shit, did stupid shit like turn the xbox on to eject the game, but didn't take the xbox, and took the time to search for the remote.  It's more someone stealing shit because they wanted it rather then to sell it and buy crack.

Either way, they're either dumb or have massive balls.  6 guys living in a house isn't exactly a prime target.  There's a good chance that someone is up even in the middle of the night, and you'd be in a far worse situation getting caught then if you were to be caught by a husband and wife.

As for contacting the police.  We're waiting for the actual owner of the TV to get back..which is in a few hours.  I don't know the details of the make/model or what else got stolen at this point.

Then, just yesterday, I discovered that eating a Spicy Big Crunch Combo with a small Popcorn Chicken and side of gravy equals violent food poisoning.  Do you know how much  love KFC?   Now I can never eat it again.

...But chicken misery tastes so good.

As for being homeless, it's actually by choice...a bit.  I do still have some options, but I think I might have to make an uncomfortable, yet ultimately beneficial decision - to move back to the parents place for a few months.  While this does sound pretty fucking lame, it would allow me to pay off my remaining student loans, save a few thousand dollars, save about 2 hours of driving a day between work, school, and home, and would provide me with the motivation needed to go to the library every day to do more coursework.  It also provides me with a place to say which enables me to spend a bit more time looking (desperation rarely leads to good decisions), and is pretty much obligation free in terms of how long I stay there (I could get out next month or in four).

The only downsides are a tiny fucking room, and it's my parents house...and I'm 26.

Dude, don't feel bad about moving in with your parents, as long as it's not for too long and you have an actual plan. It sounds like a decent option for you.

Also, I would like to add: KFC???????

Edit: Those smiley faces were supposed to be question marks. Apparently 3 question marks equals a smiley face.

Oh, I don't really feel bad, it just might be a bit awkward/confining.  I'm not worried about being perceived as a deadbeat or anything.  It gives me a chance to get some stuff done to my car, get a new computer for school, pay off some loans, save some money, and it's not like I'd be home that often.  The only real downside is it's a bit removed from where I tend to party (but who really cares about that), and there's no way I could really have people over or get girls in there - not like I'm a huge fan of hosting or having sex with girls at my house anyways.   It just makes too much sense to do it right now.

Edit:  And yeah, I'm a pretty big friend chicken fan.  KFC satisfies that need.  Until it almost kills me.

Yeah, well it just sounds like you will have to understand where your priorities are. Granted, this comes from a person who still has a year to graduate college, but still.

Also, While I normally don't eat KFC, whenever I get the urge to eat some, I simply puree the stuff down and bathe in it. It feels so good, and it cleanses the pores. MMMMM.

GPW.. i feel for you re: moving back home to parents. It's not bad at all, it's fun but it's never the same once you've lived away.. it's mighty easy at home though.. easy to get fat too!

I like the floats of KFC.. that's all i eat from there.. for the first time in a long time i had something from Mcdonalds... and i had to throw up after - sundae with topping...

your sis doesn't live with parents yeah?
Taken.
