Man, you had to make me remember this. I had tons of fun with it too, and loved the liberating feel of it. Nothing quite like it. Too bad my 360 is dead, never to rise again.  :(

Did the sequel suck? I don't remember really hearing anything about it.

I couldn't get past the demo.  I remember it being a big letdown, though I don't recall the specifics.  In general, it didn't feel at all like the original.  That magic touch that made me love the first one seemed to be missing.

That's a shame, to make a great formula like that and then screw it up.

Yeah, to be sure.  I have a feeling the first one was the labor of love, and the second more of a cash-in attempt.

Wow, what a blast from the past! I sold this game forever ago. I just found it too boring after beating it and I didn't feel like starting over either.

The only thing that felt halfway similar to me was Infamous. As far as being able to climb on junk and fly around kinda. It wasn't the same, but it was at least reminiscent. I think if I was going to go back to messing around in a virtual city, though, I'd go back to my ongoing game of Saints Row III. I never played the others, but that game is just so much ridiculous fun, even if the story is basically meaningless to me.
