This could be really awesome in a few years.

There was also a sony demo recently where you could do pretty much the exact opposite and scan real objects into games with the eye cam, which was actually a lot cooler then it sounds.

I saw a story on this thing before.  I don't see anything like it making its way into homes anytime soon.  It looks like it has a lot of overhead, literally.

That is pretty sweet -- especially turning something 2D into 3D.

I'd bet comic book artists, people who make small detailed miniature models, and all that stuff would probably love that thing.
