Nyquil
« on: Wednesday, April 09, 2008, 11:35:47 AM »
I've taken Nyquil before, but I forgot what it did to you.  Holy crap.  I took some last night after dinner because I felt like complete shit and within a half-hour I could barely hold my eyes open, and I was up and walking around.  Then I sat down with the laptop for awhile but I had to quit because I could barely see straight.

I went to bed last night at 7:30pm and could barely drag myself out 12 hours later.  That stuff most certainly works.

I remember one time I took it around 3:00am once because I felt like crap and couldn't sleep.  I had to be at work the next day at 8:00am.  I was able to get up and go, but I felt like I was dreaming or something until at least noon.  It was like everything was really surreal and I wasn't truly there.

I hate antihistamine sleep aids for that reason.  Sure, I end up falling asleep easily enough, but I'm so groggy and tired in the morning I hardly feel refreshed.

Yeah, I generally avoid antihistamines too, but I really needed it yesterday.  And today for that matter.

But when I was mentioning the time I took it real late, I'm not talking mere grogginess or the feeling you get the next day after taking antihistamines.  I mean that clearly all of the stuff in Nyquil wanted me to be asleep, but I wasn't.

Yes, thats it.  I like it when the day and night gel caps come bundled together.  They do work for cold and flu symptoms, and the night stuff will knock you out when you need it.

Dayquil ftw?
Yeah, but I said that I was having trouble sleeping.  Hence the Nyquil.

So that's why they didn't make the stuff taste like candy and rainbows.
