Anyone ever get anything from Threadless?
« on: Wednesday, November 05, 2008, 02:48:33 PM »
Booya!

I love the art on so many of these. I was wondering if the sizes run big or small. I'm 6'4, and I weigh like 210 pounds. So I'm kind of a big guy, not fat, but bigger. I can usually wear a large, but i tend to go with XL. Large is kind of tight around my shoulders and arms although I still wear them a lot.

Anyway, just curious.

Yes. After you start wearing them, you realize how common those shirts actually are. (Or maybe it just seems that way because I live in a college town.)

If, like goths, emos and Que, you despise popular things solely because they're popular, then you'll probably regret buying any shirts there. Otherwise, knock yourself out.

Also, if you buy this shirt, I will never stop making fun of you.

I despise things based on their lack of value or their actively negative aspects.  Which explains my general distaste for your posting habits.  Either way, I don't personally have anything against the shirts at this place, even if I think a lot of the people who wear the stuff are douchebags.  I also think a lot of people who don't wear the stuff are douchebags, so it evens out.

I own a few shirts from them and like them a lot.  You're taller than me but you sound like you have my body type sort of shoulder wise, I go with XL and they fit pretty comfortably.  They mostly use American Apparel t-shirts which are supposed to be more of a slim fit, so an XL would probably be good for you, if not you could probably exchange it for an XXL if they have it in stock, I can't remember what their return policy is off the top of my head but I've heard of others exchanging before.

Sweet man, thanks a bunch. Appreciate it.

Think I'm going with the Rustic Hat Rack XL.

$18 for a Tshirt?! That's insane. I don't care what it looks like, I'd never pay that much for a Tshirt.

Some of those shirts have nice art styles... but the models that wear them look like such dickheads.

That's because those dickheads aren't models; they're hipsters.

Its always the same damn perspective with fashion as it is with music. All your shit sucks and mine is completely awesome. Categorizing people based on clothes and music is easy, but really fuckin shallow.

Easy for you to say. All of your clothes suck.

I'd elaborate but based on your shirt its obvious that you are totally incapable of comprehending what I say.

They usually have $10 sales a few times a year which is when most people buy them.

You know what actually does (unarguably) suck? Ed Hardy and Affliction.  Seriously, you spent how much on a shitty shirt and you actually want people to know that.

It kind of reminds me of an interview with Method Man I read a few years ago when they asked him about when Wu Wear blew up.  He basically said something along the lines of how he'd judge people on the spot because it was expensive as hell and low quality.  He said something about how he'd make is own Wu-tang shirt before wearing that shit.

I generally wear an XL in a t-shirt, but had to get 2xl in American Apparel.

Hope that helps.
