I really do think so. I think he probably is hesitant because he expects it to be as lame as myspace, but I have a feeling he would enjoy it, if only for all the neat little applications.

So, Que, give it a shot. We can do a lot of game related stuff on it, including tons of board games etc. We can play chess against each other quite easily as well. Yes, a lot of the applications are related to social networking, but they can be easily avoided. Plus the whole thing is extremely modifiable so that you will never be notified for annoying social crap if you don't want to.

Do join, and bring Sirean with you.

But don't play chess with me.  I'm awful.  I do miss playing Ghandi on Babaschess, though.  We should all get together and mess around with it again.  That was fun.

FB is so much better than Myspace it isn't even funny.

If anything, Myspace is like the white trash cousin of FB that you're glad you only have to see once a year at Christmas

Well, I started to win a few games on him and he stopped playing against me. ;)

You could probably beat me pretty easily now, I haven't played in ages - since we last played, actually.


As for Facebook - meh. It has its uses but I hate how I'm forced to see how everyone spends every minute of their lives when I log on. I really hate the "status update" / Twitter trend that is so popular nowadays.

I'm going to use this thread to plug the Greasemonkey script called Facebook Fixer which makes a few decent improvements on the site.

Facebook got to be a huge bitch after a while.  I just shut my profile down.  Don't get me wrong, it's useful, but it's also a whole lot of tedious garbage.
