Happy Eid, everybody!

'Tis the season to be jolly (I know it's a Christmas thing but it works here too ;)) and may you all feast bountifully and have an awesome time!

So tell me, how do you pronounce that?  I assume "Mubarak" looks like it sounds, but what about "Eid"?  Is it "ide"?  "Eed"?  "Id"?  Our new neighbors across the street are Muslim, and they have a sign up, and some balloons.  If I ever say this instead of just writing it, I don't want to muck it up.

Haha awesome. In English it's generally pronounced like "eed" however in Arabic there's a letter superseding it that cannot be pronounced in English, just like the name Ali.

I just got back from a little getaway with the family. Technically it was a disappointing trip for everyone (whitewater rafting didn't happen, water park most facilities were closed or unavailable etc.) but I still managed to enjoy it. As long as I'm among loved ones I'm having a good time.

Cool.  Thanks!  I agree about time with family.  It's always good, even plans don't work out.
