I didn't know they operated as a reseller themselves.  They are, however the main manufacturer for iPhone/iPod hardware.  Rumour was that their security was so strict at the behest of Apple. Of course, I don't think Apple really knew the lengths Foxconn was willing to go to.

Maybe Apple didn't know... but really, I bet they'd rather just not know.

Considering how strict they are with security, I imagine that they had given very explicit orders about leaks....I just don't think they had the cultural understanding to really realize the implications of doing so.

So the people who committed suicide were earning US $295 x 1/1.7 = $173.52 per month.  That's actually better than I thought.  "Better" is comparative, of course.  Benito Mussolini was a better human being than Adolf Hitler.  (Ooooh . . . shit!  I mentioned Hitler.  Sorry!)
