I am now a Texan
« on: Thursday, August 26, 2010, 11:52:24 PM »
Just got the plates to my car, then right after headed to the DMV to get my license. It all went smoothly, had everything ready.

Also a couple weeks back we went into getting a new house, seemed to be a pretty good deal all things considering. When Sy stopped by I showed him the lot where the house will be built, its a pretty nice area, lots of new homes there, but in the bit of land where the house will be built, we will be the first ones there so I'll get to watch the neighborhood get built around me, it'll be neat. The house is planned to be finished by December so I will be in the cramped apartment a little longer but I can deal, I'm pretty excited about the house. It's also like a few miles away from the college I'll be going to. Things are falling into places.

Awesome. I hear a lot of good things about Texas, it sounds like a sweet place to live.

only steers and queers come from Texas private cowboy, and you don't much look like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down.

Good stuff man and looking forward to having you down here again in November.  If I end up moving back to Austin next year I'll be a little closer to you so when you come down you won't have to drive as far as you usually do.
