Stuxnet
« on: Tuesday, November 30, 2010, 08:08:43 AM »
Anybody else been following this on the news? It's wild. Yesterday's assassination of the Iranian scientist upped it from an interesting story on the future of cyber-warfare to Hollywood level espionage.

Who do you think did it? It must be America or Israel.

Yeah, America and Israel are pretty much the only two nations that have anything to lose from Iran getting nukes. Just makes sense that they did it.

It probably is the U.S. or Israel, but I've been following the Wikileaks thing and supposedly some of the stuff that is coming out of that is that some other Middle Eastern nations have been urging the U.S. to take military action against Iran's nuclear infrastructure.  I don't know if that's true or just propaganda to balance out the clear black ops attacks on it.  Anyway my point is that maybe there is more to the possible situation of Iran becoming a nuclear power than we know about.

As far as the Stuxnet worm, apparently it's old news.  I was Googling it yesterday and found news stories from September.  I think it is just became big news when you consider that two Iranian nuclear engineers were attacked yesterday because clearly Iran's nuclear program is under assault.

Speaking of Wikileaks:  Julian Assange;  Rapist or victim of smear campaign?

Personally, I lean towards rapist.  If the most powerful people in the world wanted to discredit you, they'd find a better way and they'd probably attack the credibility of the site itself rather than the guy who will just be replaced.
