Secret U.S. helicopter?
« on: Monday, August 15, 2011, 03:50:54 PM »
So on the BBC there was an article about how Chinese specialists went to Pakistan to investigate the destroyed "Black Hawk helicopter" that had a hard landing in the raid on Osama Bin Laden:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-south-asia-14527170.

Look at the image.  That definitely doesn't look like part of a Black Hawk.

Looks like the tail of a Comanche.

But a Comanche was supposed to be a scout vehicle with a crew of 2.  It's possible, but I doubt it.  I imagine not many people would be experts at flying a stealthy scout helicopter and be a badass Navy S.E.A.L.

The U.S. must have some sort of new troop transport helicopter specially designed for quiet troop insertions.

Edit: Some quick Googling reveals that my assumptions are probably true.  It's either a new helicopter or a heavily modified Black Hawk.

If that allegation is true, it's really hard to justify continuing to coddle Pakistan in their "fight against terror."  The money could be better spent elsewhere.
Suck it, Pugnate.
