3rd shift is getting old

So I've been working at my current job about a year and a half. It's all been third shift and I have been dealing with it fairly well. My coworkers are cool and my supervisor isnt all too bad. I have classes in the morning and I found that works for me as well. But recently it's been getting a little straining on me. Don't get to see family that much or really hangout and on my nights off I just spend it in the house which isn't that bad for me since I'm mostly a homebody but even that is getting old. So lately I've felt like I've just been living inside my head and I drive myself crazy sometimes just over analyzing everything. I've also been constantly tired, I cannot seem to snap out of being drowsy on some nights regardless of how much sleep I get, the work is boring and I would like to study but its hard to keep my eyes open. I think this summer when the semester ends I'm going to try and switch to first shift and look into getting afternoon classes. Hopefully bring me out of this funk that I'm in.

I know how that goes. I'm an over-analyzer at the best of times, let alone in a situation like that. Good luck man... hope you can get things changed up.

Too familiar. The thing about ruts is the longer you stay in them, the deeper they get. Best of luck.

1st: 08:00-16:00
2nd: 16:00-00:00
3rd: 00:00-08:00
That's how it was at the couple of places I worked that had shift work.

Hospitals: 7A-3P, 3P-11P, 11P-7A. I worked the 3-11 shift when I was working at a psychiatric hospital, oh, about 40 years ago. Had to pull double shifts a couple of times, which meant working the "graveyard" 11-7 shift also.
