It's the quiet ones you've gotta watch. everytime you see a story about a serial criminal on tv what do they do? they bring on the neighbor and the neighbor says "weeeell, he was always very quiet" and someone in the room says "It's the quiet ones you gotta watch". This sound to me like a very dangerous assumption - I will bet you anything that while you're watching someone quiet a noisy one will fu*king kill you. Suppose you're in a bar and one of the guys sitting over the side reading a book not bothering anybody another guy stand on the front with a machette bangin' on the bar saying "I'll kill the next motherfucker comes in here" - who you gonna watch?

What happened:

1. The domain was expired for a month, pretty much all of December.
2. The IRC link.
3. More and more, forums seem like an antiquated way of interacting in comparison with say Facebook.

People just don't seem interested in posting any more.

IRC has little to do with it, actually. Aside from someone popping in here and there, it's been mostly the same ol regulars. (which by the way I wish would change)

I'd say more than anything it has to do with the fact we've had 13 unique users today. Not that there's anything at all wrong with that. We're a small community, losing a typical amount of lurkers just like any other forum. And there just isn't any new blood to replace them. I mean if I'm not mistaken, I'm still the newest active site member.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Honestly, I don't care. Do I need to spend 30 hours browsing forums every day? I get to interact with people I like here about stuff I like or that matters to me. I don't feel like it has to be super busy.

I think I am happy with my and everyone's level of activity here. We are like a small group of friends who chat and interact only on the net. We aren't a typical message board.

I feel that I used to be involved/dependent on/with AOG/OW to a very unhealthy degree. I think a few of us did, which is why we actively took 'breaks' from the forum. I am a happier person, and I don't feel I have to be around here 24/7. I remember a few of us mentioned hitting the 'refresh' button on the forums at one point or another. I don't know. Maybe that's not a healthy way to fulfill yourself social needs.

We definitely could use more users.

I could introduce a few people I feel would be a great fit.
