How are these: Indigo Prophecy, Boiling Point and Act of War: DA?

For those who played these games.....
I wonder what you thought of them.

What did you all think of the following games...?
1.Indigo Prophecy (aka Fahrenheit)
2.Boiling Point: Road to Hell (especially if you DID patch it up to final version 2.0)
3.Act of War: Direct Action

For all three, you think they worth $19.99 plus NO SHIPPING in their Atari Action Bundle?

I've never heard of any of them except for the first one.  I hear Indigo Prophecy is actually half decent... I never tried it though.

Played all three. Only finished Indigo Prophecy.

Indigo Prophecy was great, I enjoyed it a lot, mainly coz I was really in the mood for an adventure game when I played ;D Although I played the German (Fahrenheit), and I only checked out the US version briefly. Though from what I saw in the US version quite a bit had to be cut out rather than censored. Some scenes were completely removed. They weren't 'crucial' but they added to the emotional reaction to the story.

Boiling Point sucked donkey bollocks even after the much-needed patching. The game had some promise, almost looked like it was going to be a modern-day Elder Scrolls kinda game. Unfortunately it failed miserably. It's too bad there's no demo to give you a sample of just how bad it is. The game has some good features, but all in all I just felt that it didn't work well.

Act of War: Direct Action was decent. It had some cool ideas, and it touched pretty close to today's (or the near future's) petroleum and terrorism issues. The one problem I had with it was that it just got boring after a few missions. Other than that, the game was solid. I haven't played Act of War: High Treason, but it seems to be pretty decent as well.

I liked Farenheit/The Indigo Prophecy.  The presentation of the game was impeccable.  The story is flawed, but it's still a pretty good game.

Oh yeah, Quantic Dream did a great job making the game. The story was great up until the end when it just felt rushed.

Now I really hope Quantic Dream will make a new Omikron! That game was pretty amazing in its time.

I played the Euro version of IP, and it was... flawed at best.  The game's concept was brilliant, and the execution of that concept really wasn't half bad in a number of ways, but ultimately it failed.  The characters were promising but never went into any real territory except for unbelievable and half-baked shit toward the end, and the story itself, while very cool and interestingly presented for probably 2/3 or more of the story, failed completely and utterly in the last bits of the game.  And I mean in every possible way.  It was a colossal, ultimate, ultra failure, to the point where Julia and I sort of stared at the screen and were wondering how anyone could even release such poorly written, poorly realized garbage.  A real shame because the game had tons of promise and did some really cool things.  In the end, I can say that I'm glad I played it, but its shortcomings really did depress me.

There are plans to make for next-gen systems Omikron 2 for PC, PS3 and X360, BTW -- OLD Thread from Mind's Eye!!! (Aha, another MyD old thread ressurection!)

Ain't heard anything new on it, though.

BTW, where can I find a copy of Omikron (for the PC)? I bet it's a tough find, these days at retail stores...

It is touch to find, and I had two :P Because I bought so many Eidos games earlier on, when I registered that I had more than three titles Omikron was one of them) they gave me a coupon for a free game, I sent it in for Tomb Raider Gold (I was collecting the TR games at the time, and the only TR I was missing on PC was the first one, I had it on my Saturn). Anyway, a few months later I get a parcel in the mail and it's Omikron with a note that says "Sorry, TR Gold is no longer in stock."

I think I gave one to a friend, coz I only find one of them now :P

HAha oh man! That thread is so old! The 360 was still called the "Xbox 2" Wow, man ultimate resurrectervationist!
