Well, the actual wedding is in the winter. But her parents are religious and they don't want us to be hanging out so much without being 'married'. So ummm... yea... we are singing the papers in a small ceremony on the 17th.

And I am feeling a little anxious.

This is normal. Right?

Dude. I went to a courthouse and signed wedding papers once. It was kinda cool, but way over priced. Dudes charged me like $100 once everything was said and done.

Yea we are bringing the papers home with a religious lawyer.

We have been bickering over the past three days over stupid stuff. Well, she has been bickering. Apparently this is quite normal for this part of the world. It is called Nikkah tension.

"Nikkah" is the Islamic married document thing.

Yeah, "nikah" is the formal word here too. Generally, Arabs just say "katb el kitab" which is literally translated to "writing the book."
