Well, I didn't like
Dead Rising.. So.. yeah.
It's kinda like the
Bayonetta effect: forcibly sexualized action scenarios. I don't know it just doesn't do it for me. I need substance and context!
By contrast, Catwoman is highly sexualized in the upcoming
Batman Arkham City but it makes sense! Even Harley Quinn, who more closely resembles a cheerleader with her pigtails and skimpy outfits, makes sense to me. There's a method to the madness.
Lollipop Chainsaw and Bayonettas lead characters feels like female equivalents of Duke Nukem: stereotypes to the max and then some.
It's just me. I'm not saying the game will be crap, it might be great, I'm just saying I need some thematic relevance to be pulled into the hype of the trailers.
