It's also going to be free starting on the 15th for Xbox 360, if you have XBL Gold. (parts of Games With Gold)
I passed on this game when it came out because I tried the demo and it seemed like it had the same problem as Far Cry 3, but more pronounced because of the "80's action movie" theme. Maybe it's just the way I played, but I felt like far Cry 3's skill trees and abilities helped it to lean more towards a stealthy approach to most encounters. This worked great for the open world stuff, because you could sneak around/through a camp and choose how to most effectively take everyone out. There was some straight up fighting, but I personally spent more time sneaking around and taking people out silently before going loud and finishing off the rest. The story missions mostly forced me to throw this tactic out the window, because more often than not I was getting killed trying to just sneak around. It felt like the open world and skill design was at odds with the story mission design.
Then we have Blood Dragon, which is a parody of 80s action movies. I tried the demo, and I expected to be able to rush in and just start murdering fools, but that wasn't working for me. I had to sneak, because it felt like the game systems were balanced around that. It felt like now even the theme of the game was at odds with the game systems, and I just wasn't into it.
