Not terribly surprised. Projects like that need to walk a very, very tight line.

Of course, legally - CCP and Activision have every right to shut it down. Activision was original V:TM-B publisher; and CCP holds the World of Darkness and Vampire license.
Still sucks for the fans, though.
Still would've been nice to see it come to fruition.
Would've been nice to get V:TM-B off the aging old version of the Source Engine; get it on a modern engine (to make it easier to get going on modern OS's) like Unity; easier to mod w/ it being on Unity Engine; and w/ all kinds of brand new graphical bells + whistles supported by Unity.
Was curious to see what they'd do w/ the MP, as well - since Troika's V:TM-B was supposed to have it in the first place, anyways.
