I want to tour the factory where they make them church crackers
« on: Wednesday, February 21, 2007, 10:05:49 PM »
You know, the ones they give you with the wine? I bet thats a really interesting factory. Like everyone probably pictures little happy nuns baking these crackers when in reality theres some dude named Sal in a hairnet going "Gah damnit, the fucking machine is backed up again!" as he kicks the side of the conveyor belt.

They are called hosts, not church crackers.  :P

No clue where they come from. I always assumed it was magic. Jesus magic.

Where the hell did this thread come from?  That was pretty out of the blue.

Have you been eating those mushrooms you've taken pictures of Idol?

It was a natural progression.  He toured the mushroom factory and thought crackers should be next on the list.

I didn't even notice this thread earlier.  The subject line didn't click until just now.  "Church crackers".  Heh.  I used to get one every Sunday until I was about 16.  Despite my change in beliefs, I still have the utmost respect for Catholic rituals.  After all, I grew up with them, and was ingrained with them as the ultimate spiritual goodness.  So the subject is a bit jarring, which surprised me.  I didn't think it would be by now.  I guess I really have nothing more to add.

I thought this was going to be a thread about white people hanging out in churches.

lol Pug.

Yeah, they aren't crackers.  It's "unleavened bread:" bread baked without yeast from what I understand.  And like Ghandi said the proper term is "hosts."
