I just watching this movie about a aspiring poet that is a junkie (Ledger) that falls for an aspiring painter from a middle-class family (Cornish) -- basically, he brings this girl into his lifestyle of drug using. They have a friend, who is into chemicals and plants (Rush) -- who happens to be gay.
This has to be one of the most powerful drug-usage movies I've seen since the great Requiem For A Dream.
Depressing movie, to say the very least.
Powerful, gripping, and extremely well acted.
