Lair is actually looking pretty impressive.

I don't have a PS3 and obviously have no plans to get one any time soon, but I think we can all at least agree that Lair is fucking pretty.

And I'm sorry, but you gotta' like any shot that tells you you've only got a few thousand more "troops to go".   ;D

There haven't been any good dragon-riding games in a while.  Could be good fun.

I feel like someone tried to make this exact game when the PS2 was released with the whole massive army and dragon riding thing.

The Drakan series did it first as far as I know, at least in the 3D world.  The first was a PC game, the second was an early PS2 title, the first title that I reviewed for AOG, actually.  Then I think Sony tried a dragony RPG thing that totally failed.  That may be what you're thinking of, but I never saw too much on it so I can't really say.  I don't remember the name.

It wasn't Draken as far as I remember. For some reason I'm actually thinking it was a Square game back when they were dabbling in all sorts of things (Bouncer anyone?).

I've been keeping my eye on this game since they showed it at E3 and the latest screenshots and videos that were just released show that the game might turn out to be pretty cool, hopefully it is.

I remember reading my exgirlfriend's little brother's magazine with something about an Ozzy game where you rode dragons back when the PS2 just came out.  Or maybe I'm imagining that.  Long time ago.
