More lawyers?  I'm already in a disability battle for my wife in which a lawyer is involved... I don't think my brain could handle two.

And honestly, this guy hasn't done anything truly wrong, thats' what's so maddening.  I don't think what these people are doing is THAT unreasonable, it's just that our apartment walls are so fucking thing it might as well be the same room.  But there aren't laws pertaining to that that I know of.  My apartment's management could do something about it, but that's it, and they've asked them multiple times to stop and they simply won't.  I've written a letter which is going to my manager again today, but who knows what good it will do.

I just really want to hurt somebody this week, and despite how amusing it might seem, it really isn't a pleasant feeling at all.

That's why I said "lawsuit", not "charges".  Emotional distress, getting robbed of your peace of mind in your own home, is not a crime, but it is actionable in civil court.  I agree that it's most likely not worth it.  A credible threat may make a big difference though, with both your neighbors and landlord.  I completely understand you not wanting to get involved in another knock-down drag-out fight.  Still, it beats the physical kind any day.

Honestly, if I could have a physical fight with the guy (there's a family, but he's the guy I've talked to), I'd take that over anything else.  If there was no legal repercussion for it, I'd give anything to deck him a few times.

With your neighbors a credible threat could make a temporary difference, but they'll soon forget about the matter. It could make a real difference with the landlord.
