Dementium: The Ward

I just gave this a little spin before bedtime. Probably not the best idea. These guys did a really good job of making a creepy game on the DS. First person, has the DS FPS style controls. Pretty simple. Move the stylus around to look, Dpad moves (double tap up to run), and the left shoulder "shoots", though so far all I have are a flashlight and a police baton. Doesn't seem to be any setup to hint at things at all. I woke up in the hospital...its dark and spooky. I found a notebook that says "Why did you do it?"...you can erase it and use it to keep notes (which is used like right away). No one is around, but obviously very bad thing have happened...theres blood everywhere and I killed some zombie things.

More impressions to come, but this is pretty cool. Amazing its on DS. Runs really well, and the gore alone is a pretty weird thing to see on a Nintendo system, let alone Nintendos handheld system. Hopefully it does well, as Fountainhead said they would port Doom RPG to DS if they thought there was an audience for a big bloody game like that.

Just watched a trailer for it. It looks awesome, seems to mimic Silent Hill a little. I think I may check it out.

I've been curious about it.  I always love me some weird horror stuff.  Maybe if my wife gets me a DS.

I like this game, its made me jump and blurt out a few bad words so far. The graphics are some of the best on the DS and the atmosphere is great. However, I do have one gripe, the night stick seems to have some hit detection problems. Luckily I don't have to use it for too long.
