Are there any good books on the subject of the impact of world communication, or just effects of the internet on a psychological scale?

"The World is Flat" by Thomas Friedman is kind of about that subject. It's about the impacts of globalization. I'm reading it right now, it's quite informative.

I've got a copy of that on my nightstand right now.  I haven't started reading it yet.

Also, it's probably been said here before, but askmen.com has to be the most worthless publication on the internet.

Catch-22 is really about whatever you want it to be.  The same can be said about The World According to Garp

It's a little heavy. I like to supplement it with some lighter reading.

I'll probably do the same, especially considering how long it is.

I was also going to recommend "The World is Flat". I also have it sitting on my night stand, but I haven't started it yet.
