Wow, /thread after only a single post.  Impressive.

Anyway... thanks.     It's kind of a bittersweet birthday for me because idol, who's been my houseguest for the last 8 and a half days, is going home this morning (everyone else is asleep waiting for morning, I'm still up because... I'm an idiot?).  Still, having he and Belmont out here has been completely and utterly awesome, so that was about the best present I could have asked for.  Also, I have another great birthday present story which will appear in the OWmeet 2008 picture album/recap whenever I get around to setting it up, so I won't spoil it here despite the topic at hand.

But yeah... pessimism is necessary, and since I haven't started back to work yet and have been having way too much of a good time, my reserves have dried up a bit.  Thanks for stepping in, Ghandi.  You da man.

Hey man, happy birthday. I've been wanting to say that for a while, but for some reason, I've been unable to post a comment because I had been seeing something like this in red text:

And then I couldn't log off either, because I'd keep getting the exact same bloody message.

This kept happening for a few days, until I just decided to delete my cookies.

But then it wouldn't let me login and everytime I tried, I'd hit a blank page.

Miraculously, it is working OK this now.

Something indeed... scott and I are working on the problem, but there's a limit to what we can do as it seems that the crux of the issue is that godaddy has us crammed on the same resources with about ten million other sites all sharing the same databases and server.
