I can't get this out of my head
« on: Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 08:39:52 PM »
It's like both the best and worst thing ever.

In my Sinistar induced madness, I also found this little gem: I Hunger, therefore I Live.

I also can't get it out of my head.  The worst part is I have no idea who Sinistar is.

Isn't Sinistar an old arcade game?

Every time I hear/read "Sinistar" I think of "Monstar" from Silverhawks.

Anyone that's actually played that game deserves... I don't know... a cookie.  Or something.  Wasn't it originally on Atari?

I've played it.  It's really hard.

I'm not sure if it was Atari first or second.  It was an arcade game.

I'm not sure that I ever actually plated Sinistar.  In any case, that YTMND was fascinating.  I couldn't look away.

Williams.  Interesting.  I do remember the Atari incarnation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinistar

I tried the Shockwave applet link at the bottom of that page, but I can't get past a missing "xtra" named "Arcade Emulator 2".  It can't find it; I can't find it.

People... don't go out of your way to play this game... it's not good.  I guess it's good to laugh at the stupid "I hunger!"

It's just curiosity.  But you're right.  If it's going to take a lot of effort to set it up, it's not worth it.  Very little from the era is worth it.

The best thing to come out of the game was Sinistar himself. Really though, that's like complaining about finding a diamond in a lump of coal.
