Stardock will return w/ another Galac Civ 2 expansion, which will be Twilight of Arnor.

It's due out by the end of 2007.

I don't see it listed anywhere online for retail stores (EB, BB, Amazon, etc etc).
Come to think of it, I ain't even heard anything about it going Gold to retail stores yet.

Stardock's site (digitally, disc, or BOTH) seems like the only place selling it right now.

Release the game first through them exclusively?

Couldn't tell you.  I don't even know if the last expansion saw a retail release.  I've always bought from Stardock since you can get the game downloaded and have a copy shipped to you at the same time (though I didn't do that with Sins because they wanted like $10 for shipping or something utterly ridiculous... which pissed me off a bit).

I know a Galac Civ 2: Gold Edition (come w/ Dread Lords and Dark Avatar) did get retail release.
I am not sure if Dark Avatar expansion got a solo retail release.

Well, this expansion must be out.  It was in my My Games list so I downloaded it.  Haven't had a chance to play it yet.  Honestly, I don't know if I'd notice the difference.  I never played the original, only the first expansion and I only played one game.  I wonder if I'll even notice the additions.

I wanted to get Sins of a Solar Empire, but it is still $45.

Get Sins at retail.  It's like $30 or something.
