Soundtracks You Didn't Know Were Stolen
« on: Wednesday, May 13, 2009, 11:23:09 PM »
GamesRadar has this article that revealed some rip-offs that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. Some funny stuff too, just hearing how similar some tracks are to actual songs.

Quote
“I’ll just rip off this one forgotten, one-hit-wonder from 1987… who’s gonna know?” Yasunori Mitsuda, Chrono Trigger’s composer, probably thought. And he almost got away with it, were it not for a mammoth internet meme almost fifteen years later. Upon meeting Robo in 2008’s Chrono Trigger DS rerelease, it finally dawned on millions of gamers that they’ve been getting Rickroll’d as far back as 1995.

hahaha

I laughed even more when I heard it. Awesome link Xessive.

edit:

Looking at the boss names for Mega Man, I realize the guys were HUGE fans.

Man, this got me all nostalgic so I dug up my old Minibosses tracks.

Yeah, the Megaman boss names shed a new light on old memories!

Haha I'm not! Well except for November Rain.. and Slash, whos is an amazing guitarist.

I think my main deterrent from GnR was Axl Rose. I'm just not a fan of his high pitch. Same reason why I couldn't get into Rage Against The Machine.
