Girl, 14, quizzed over MySpace anti-Bush page

A US girl of 14 was dragged out of class by Secret Service agents for calling President Bush an idiot on her MySpace page.

Julia Wilson's internet page, called "So Bush is an idiot but hey what else is new?", infuriated security experts, reports the Mirror.

She also posted the words "Kill Bush" and ran a cartoon of a knife stabbing the hand of the president.

Two federal agents went searching for Julia at her home before finding the teenager at school in Sacramento, California.

After pulling her out of class, they subjected her to a 20-minute interview.

Julia said: "I told them I just really don't agree with Bush's politics. I do not have any plans of harming Bush in any way. I am very peaceful. I just don't like Bush."

She said the agents warned her she could be locked up for making the threat.

Dad Jim Moose added: "I don't condone what she did, but it seems a little over the top. You'd think they could determine that she's not a credible threat."

I think that is unfair. She wasn't dragged out of her classroom because she called him an idiot, but because she drew a picture of him being stabbed in the head. Still isn't justified, but anyway.

Yeah, the dad seems to gloss over it a little too much.  He's probably right, she's probably not a credible threat.  But you never really truly know, sometimes and that's why they checked it out.

From another article on the same story I heard that the parents were mainly angry because the SS dragged her out and interrogated her without having the parents present or consulting them.

Theres the real reason. Lots of people call Bush an idiot, the SS doesnt care what people think about the president. They do care when people say they want to kill him.

14 year olds who think they know anything about politics are idiots, too.  It does seem idiotic that they dragged her out of class for that, but it goes to prove the point I always make about it being trendy to hate Bush.  It should be trendy to hate political whores, not just Bush.

I think it is kind of comforting that they take EVERYTHING that seriously.

what que said.. I think you can hate Bush as much as you want but at least have a reason. Most teenies hate him because everyone else hates him and they make fun of him on the Daily Show. Fuckin little tools.

"I don't agree with his politics"  What they cut out of that sentence is "...I want a president who's got the balls to back an ammendment to the constitution granting free sourkeys and kittens to everyone, regardless of religion, race, or gender.  Bush just is too worried about boring stuff and doesn't focus on wittle kitten cutie cuddles and sour goodness."

But yeah, there's probably some other reason they actually inteviewed her considering there's probably like 10,000 anti-bush pages on myspace, and I'm sure more then one have a death threat on them.  Perhaps they had a hunch someone else actually created the site and it was used for some sort of code?  I don't know...
