Taken - starring Liam Neeson
« on: Friday, January 09, 2009, 07:11:16 PM »
Anyone seen the previews from this movie with Liam Neeson called Taken?

The trailer is basically one whole scene from the movie where Neeson's daughter is about to get kidnapped; he gives her instructions as what to do; she gets kidnapped; and Neeson lays down the law as to what he will do to the kidnappers if they don't follow his own demands.

Damn -- that was a good trailer. I hope the movie's as good as the trailer.

I saw this and I liked it a lot, unfortunately it started off very slow so I had to try and stay awake.

It was alright, the ending was a little underwhelming though.

Liked it namely b/c of the action and all, but was disappointed with this overall.

First off, too short at its own good -- at 1 hr 25 mins and all. Not enough time to develop some of the characters to make you care about them and have any some of emotion. Plot was way too paper-thin for its own good, as well.

The intro stuff about Liam, the daughter, the separation (b/t him and his wife and her new husband) was pretty good. You cared about this ordeal b/c....gosh, they actually spent time with it.

Movie was unfortunately for the most part predictable as all hell. It goes through more action flick cliches and stereotypes than I can shake a stick at....

I got to admit, Liam was way better than the movie was. He was awesome. And the action sequences kicked ass.

Unfortunately, they forgot the rest of the flick...
