Insomnium - Across the Dark

So the release for this was delayed for another week, but for those that didn't know, it comes out tomorrow.

Its one of my most favorite melodic death metal bands, I saw them in San Antonia a couple years back with belmont and actually met the band, it's quite the treasured memory I possess. They were amazing live and even as much with their album releases. They are a metal band from Finland that play melodic songs about sorrow, death, loss, and mourning, but what melodic metal band doesn't? However these guys are the creme of the crop when it comes to this shit and I have come back to them time and time again whenever I come into the mood for melodic metal.

Obviously they are available if you know where to look, I have kept myself from looking into it before release but I have heard a little bit, and that bit I heard has left me very excited with extreme anticipation. I'm going to check the local stores, not sure if anything in Cookeville will have it, if not I'll just order it online.

In the meanwhile, if your curious, they already have a video from one of their songs: Down with the Sun. WARNING: Head banging and furious windmills are abound.

Haha, yeah, I like them a lot.  Melodeath is more or less a dead genre for me now, but these guys still pack a punch and write some really moving, impactful music.  Along with Wintersun they're just about the only melodeath I enjoy now.  I'm looking very forward to the album.
