While this is true, I feel the whole "recording yourself dancing the actual game disc behind your friend's head while he rants on Facebook about it" thing kind of makes up for it.

Just from the facts that the guy didn't look like a complete recluse like his friend, had his friend order the game for him, and had no idea what rickrolling was, leads me to believe that he is probably more 'normal' than us. He looked like the sorta gamer who doesn't really read reviews, or hang out at the forums... like he doesn't get involved too deeply in the gaming culture.

That is actually why I find the whole thing believable.
