This isn't an in-person conversation. She recently moved about 400KM away temporarily to take care of her grandparents. The conversation is about how she doesn't know when she's coming back. Originally she was supposed to be up there for a couple months, and then it got pushed back to just under a year, and now she's saying she doesn't know when she's back.

Side note: I made an awesome joke in class the other day about how I'm not allowed to be near children. This is a secondary degree program, so the youngest person is like 25 and the average age is probably 30. You could totally tell which ones had kids and which ones didn't by their reactions.
