I don't think truely tiered service for the internet will ever really take off...or at least not in the near future. With other services, tiering came into play by adding additional services on top of the base service that people were accustomed to. Dissolving net neutrality is pretty much the exact opposite. Also, the providers must know that the people who would potentially find use for the premium services they provide (people like us as opposed to people like my parents) are inherently opposed to such a system AND the ones most likely to find a way around it.
I can't really see it being all that lucrative once they actually assessed the logistics of implimenting such a system.
