Yo!

Quote
FREE PS3 DLC - Killzone 3, GT5, Infamous 2
Sony and razor company Schick have teamed up to give free DLC when you purchase any of their products, but all you have to do is enter a universal UPC and you get free DLC from the following choices:

Killzone 3 Retro Map Pack
Killzone 3 Extra Unlock Points
Gran Turismo 5 Exclusive Camaro SS Edge Edition
Infamous 2 Sniper Blast Ability (for when the game releases in June)

All you have to do is go to this site:
http://edgeshave.com/default.aspx#!/ps3Giveaway/register

Enter info(fake if you want), enter one of the following UPC's

841058005209
841058005261

Note: when they say you can put in fake info, they really mean it. You get the code right away. I put in nothing but fake shit and already got the GT5 and Infamous 2 codes. The KZ3 stuff all seems to be for multiplayer so I probably wont bother getting them.

If you feel all guilty and shit about taking free stuff like this, donate to help Japan on PSN. 100% of it goes to the Red Cross, and you get a free PS3 theme.

But the Red Cross sucks and you should donate somewhere else.  Just FYI.

Heh, true. The stories my grandpa told of the Red Cross...

I know little about the Red Cross aside from the name. Why does it suck?

It's basically a corporation, and their upper tiers make ridiculously huge salaries.  You can donate as much as you want, but they decide where that money goes.  If you donate to help Japan, they may use it for something else entirely, including paying their own bills and paychecks.

Wow. I mean I can see some justification if it in the end means their organization functions better as a charity, but If that's the way it is I'd rather donate elsewhere or to a cause directly.

Got some PSN codes, none of them worked. I think they're only for the US PSN store.

But isn't that true with most charitable organizations?  It is my understanding that these organizations have huge overhead costs just to run their operations (and pay salaries to their workers), that by the time the money gets to the people you intended to donate for, a huge chunk of it is gone.

It's true for many, but there are plenty of others who do a much better job getting the money where it's supposed to go.  At least as far as I understand it.  I don't claim to be an expert, but I have close ties with a number of people who are very charity-minded and this is what they tell me.
