I thought of this thread the other day as I was making preliminary plans to drop a G into a new gaming rig.

I can definitely admit I was off base.  But you can thank Steam and indies for the resurgence of the PC as a platform.  Oh, and sites like Twitch.  Sort of happy to say that I was wrong, though, considering the road console gaming seems to be headed down.

It's amazing what sinking about a G into a PC can get you - especially if you're building one.
Especially if you're watching the sales on NewEgg, Amazon, TigerDirect, etc - like a hawk.

Plus, I pretty much follow places like CAG and sites like IsThereAnyDeal to keep-up w/ how cheap I can try and get PC games for.
Amazing that you can get great games like TR 2013 for like $5, when it goes on sale...

With stuff like the above, Steam sales, Amazon DVG sales, other digital distributor places, Bundle sites (HumbleBundle, Groupees, IndieGala, etc) and whatnot...
PC gaming is where it's at, for me.
