Brian R. Wood...
Lead Designer on Company of Heroes Online and a key figure in the entire COH series was killed in an accident Friday night. He was 33.

His wife, who was in the car w/ him, is in the hospital - and she's 6 months pregnant.

Sad. :(

That's terrible news. May he rest in peace and may God aid his survivors.

Geez.  33.  Great age to be alive, not dying in a stupid car wreck.  I'm so sorry for him and his family.

The guy grew up in the neighbourhood next to mine and I was surprised by the amount of media and public attention this story has received due to both the act of heroism involved in saving his family and the dangers of reckless driving.  The outpour of support for the family (including a trust fund) is pretty inspiring.

COH Online to close on March 31, 2011.
They plan to bring all the COH Online MP improvements right over into COH's MP in a patch.
