It would only impress me if that had gotten a PS3 for free and then smashed it. So they pay an enormous sum of money to get it early and then smash it without using the thing? I wonder who is laughing?

EDIT: I personally thought the whole thing was pretty stupid, the guy didn't even really get a huge reaction from the crowd, so it wasn't even funny in that regard.

Anyway, I thought this was relevant to the PS3 discussion, Playstation fan ditches PS3 for a free PC(I didn't feel like starting a new thread).

Summary:

Playstation fan gives up his right to ever own a PS3 to get a free computer worth thousands of dollars.

Something I would have totally done, considering I have no intention of owning a console really.

That's the thing though I didn't really see anyone suffer, a couple of people were amused(the ones taking pictures) and everyone else in the crowd just blew him off.  If someone had had a fit of rage or gotten really mad it would have been funny, but nothing really happened.

Well sure, but that isn't his fault.  That's entirely crowd-dependent.  He just happened to be unlucky enough to do it in front of a sane crowd.  And you know the first guy in line that ends up having to walk away without one is going to be pissed as hell.  Well, more pissed as hell than he'd have been otherwise.

I think my reply to this has already been posted by others, if they did get a big reaction then I guess the above would apply as beig the point but... they didn't get one. All I saw was a 2 kids wasting both time and money to smash something for a laugh and not even get a reaction.
